Optima Announces Advanced TCA Cabinet Enclosures

Tucker Georgia, Feb. 15, 2006 - Optima EPS, an Elma Company, has announced a new advancedTCA cabinet enclosure. Optima's AT Series of vertical rack enclosures incorporate advanced features specifically designed to addresses the growing complexity of blade and server applications based on the AdvancedTCA format.

In response to increased densities and higher processing speeds, Optima EPS Engineer's have developed a powerful thermal management solution based on simulation studies.

The Optima AT cabinet comes standard in a 44U H x 600mm W x 600mm D (Total Height = 2125mm) with mounting up to three 14U ATCA chassis.

Other sizes and dimensions are optional. The cabinet features integrated air baffling to ensure cooling path integrity, four high volume CFM fans, and top cabinet exhaust. The cable management is configurable for horizontal and vertical chassis mounting with a fiber optic router for management. The 19" vertical bracket accommodates industry-standard cable brackets and is notched for up to 1" Velcro straps. Also, there are 3x depth stiffeners for tying cables front to rear. The cable management solution is also very user-friendly with top front and top rear cable access panels and an optional 1U cable trough for mounting between sub-racks.

The ATCA cabinet also features a 4-point latching handle system and removable side panels (quarter turns, slotted or keyed). The cabinet door is gasketed for environmental sealing. The modular base allows for fixed mount, leveler, or caster options. Optima's other electronic cabinet lines includes a product mix of EMC, NEMA, Mil/Aero, Co-location, and Server cabinets.
