Arcom Launches Industrial Compact Enclosure for its High Performance Socket 370 Based Single Board Computer



Kansas City, USA and Cambridge, England - March 2003 - Arcom has introduced a rugged industrial compact enclosure for its high performance Intel Socket 370 OLYMPUS single board computer. The OLYMPUS ICE enclosure serves as an instant system solution for installations in wide operating temperature environments. The product has been independently tested and is fully approved for CE/FCC EMC compliance and has been safety tested to EN60950. The OLYMPUS ICE is available as a fan-less system using a large passive heatsink (40°C maximum operating temperature with a 866MHz Pentium III) or with forced air cooling for more demanding environments (50°C maximum operating temperature). The ICE enclosure is manufactured in lightweight aluminum and is designed for wall or panel mounted installations. It also includes all the standard cable assemblies as well as a 60W universal AC input power supply and sufficient space to accept two PC/104 I/O modules.

The OLYMPUS is an EBX format (5.75" x 8") Socket 370 single board computer that can be fitted with the Intel Celeron, Pentium III and VIA C3 processors up to 1GHz (133MHz FSB). The board also offers high performance S3 ProSavage graphics, 10/100baseTx Ethernet, four serial ports, and expansion via a PCI slot, CompactFlash socket and industry standard PC/104 bus.
