Schroff Unveils Full-Featured, Transition Card-Ready, 10U, 21-Slot VME64 Extensions System
Warwick, RI, March 2003 - Schroff®, the global leader in electronic enclosure solutions, has announced the development of a new full-featured, thermally managed, 10U-high, fully integrated system incorporating a 21-slot VME64 extensions backplane with P0 connectors.
The new system features a shielded EMC 19" subrack that can accommodate up to 21 6U x 160 mm deep boards and 21 rear, 6U x 80 mm deep transition cards with ESD clips installed in each card guide; a wide range input; PFC (Power Factor Correction); and 1,000 W, 4-output power supply (+3.3V@60A, +5V@120A, +12V@17A, and -12V@17A)
Advanced thermal management features of the new system include active, controlled heat dissipation of the power supply and the boards through hot-swappable, speed controlled radial fan units for rapid MTTR, and a unique bottom-hinged honeycomb ventilation panel for air intake. The Schroff system also incorporates a display module that provides indication of DC operating voltage and fan alarm conditions.
The shielded chassis, VITA-1-1994 backplane and power supply are furnished fully assembled and wired.
The full system measures 10U (2+6+2U) high, 84 HP wide and 456.5 mm deep. Pricing starts at $3,000. Delivery is stock to 6 weeks ARO.
