Low Noise Dielectric Resonator SMT VCO at 8 GHz
The new high performance DRO8000A covers 8000 MHz within a tuning voltage range of 0-12 Vdc and is ideal for the test and measurement market. Utilizing dielectric resonator technology this VCO features a typical phase noise of -103 dBc/Hz @ 10 kHz offset and an average tuning sensitivity of only 1 MHz/V.
The low noise DRO8000A is designed to deliver a typical output power of 3 dBm into a 50 ohm load while operating from a 5 Vdc supply and drawing only 20 mA of current. It is designed to operate over the industrial temperature range of -40 to 85°C while suppressing the second harmonic to better than -40 dBc. The DRO8000A is further heightened by having a frequency drift of better than ±250ppm over temperature. This low powered VCO comes in Z-COMM’s standard surface mount SDRO package measuring 0.91 in. x 0.91 in. x 0.45 in.
