D-Link Launches New Line of TAA-Compliant Managed Switching Solutions for Government Agencies

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., March 28 -- D-Link, the end-to-end networking solutions provider for consumer and business, today announced it is offering TAA-compliant models of its most sought-after managed switching solutions. TAA, the Trade Agreement Act of 1979, requires certain products be manufactured or significantly altered in the U.S. or designated countries in order to be eligible for government purchase.

D-Link is offering a series of TAA-compliant switch offerings from its award-winning line of fully managed business-class stackable switches, including the powerful xStack DXS-3250 gigabit switch. By developing products under trade-compliant guidelines, D-Link will be eligible to sell its most popular switching solutions on General Service Administration (GSA) supply schedules. The GSA is the procurement arm of the federal government.

"D-Link is committed to providing business customers with flexible networking solutions that meet both the technical and budgetary goals of the most demanding network infrastructure," said Keith A. Karlsen, executive vice president for D-Link Systems, Inc. "We're excited to extend our reach in the government market and have our most sought-after products listed on federal government purchasing schedules, making acquisition easy for procurement managers."

"As the recognized industry leader known for developing high-quality, end-to-end networking solutions, we will continue to grow our TAA-approved product line and make our most popular business network products eligible for government use," he said.

"Our TAA-compliant managed switching solutions offer government agencies the advantage of dependable, high-performance products with the industry's best warranty," said Karlsen, adding that "our customers, and now the federal government, can rely on D-Link to provide the best in networking technology because of our experience and leadership in the market."
