New Cordless Driver Combines Compact, Ergonomic Design With High Torque Motor
West Chester, PA, May 2002 - Metabo Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric tools for various industrial, construction and welding applications, has introduced the Power Grip, an ergonomic, compact cordless driver. Suitable for many nut and screw driving applications, the Power Grip provides greater access to difficult-to-reach places than other electric screwdrivers, without sacrificing needed power. Applications include cabinet installation, computer assembly, automotive repair, electrical installation and other jobs where working space is limited.
The Power Grip is designed to fit in the palm of the user's hand, measuring only 7 9/16" and weighing just 1.4 lbs. The Power Grip's ergonomically designed shell houses a heavy duty 4.8-volt reversing motor with up to 44 inch lbs. of torque, adjustable to twenty levels. The aluminum die-cast gear housing encases the unit's planetary gear to ensure smooth operation and extended service life. The magnetic bit holder may be switched with an optional drill chuck for light drilling requirements.
The Power Grip is furnished with a charger and two 1.25 Amp/hour batteries, so users can keep on working without having to wait for batteries to recharge. It can drive over 400 #8 x 3/4" screws on a single charge. A carrying case is included as standard.
