Building upon JK microsystems success, the new Thin Client -T system operates like a desktop PC equipped with features ideal for embedded systems.
JK microsystems Thin Client -T system combines a VIA Technologies Mini ITX mainboard with an industrial 8-30V DC input power management system, two IDE Compact Flash slots, a Watchdog timer, 24x CD-ROM, 2.5" Hard Disk Drive and optional enclosure. The mother-board boasts a 533MHz VIA Eden ESP 5000 x86 microprocessor and provides a VGA port, a 10/100 Ethernet LAN connection, two 168-pin DIMM sockets for SDRAM, two USB ports and a PCI slot. The device supports S-Video, composite video (PAL or NTSC), audio (Line-In, Line-Out and Microphone) and PS/2 Mouse and Keyboard.
The Thin Client -T system delivers a solution with ample hardware and connectivity, while providing developers the flexibility of using DOS, Linux and Windows operating systems. The system can be tailored for a variety of local embedded applications, including data acquisition, industrial PCs, network computing, desktop management, information appliance, digital video recorders, point of sale systems, video conferencing and multimedia systems.
