New 4U EasyPlug CompactPCI Chassis from Elma
FREMONT, California, Sept. 23, 2005 - Elma Electronic Inc., a global manufacturer of electronic packaging products announced a new Type 39 4U Easy Plug CompactPCI enclosure. The chassis features improved cooling performance and a removable fan and filter tray.
The Type 39c EasyPlug line is the 2nd generation of the family. It features a 9U 8-slot cPCI backplane from Elma Bustronic which includes pluggable 47-pin connectors for hot-swapping power supplies. The backplanes are available in standard cPCI, H.110, or PICMG 2.16 options. The chassis also features removable fan and filter trays and optional shelf management modules.
With a sheet metal design and full pluggability, the Type 39c HA family offers ease of manufacturing and saves costs. The chassis are available in 1U-4U heights in horizontal-mounting orientations. Compliant to the latest PICMG specifications and IEEE 1101.10/.11, the enclosures feature side-to-side 200CFM (300LFM) cooling, 300mm depths, and rear I/O options.
