Liquitite SF
Based on the latest and most innovative resins Liquitite SF will protect concrete paves, bricks, stone, marble, metal, wood and similar everyday surfaces from staining caused by spills of all non-corrosive household liquids and other harsh materials such as automotive fluids, oils and greases.
Liquitite SF is extremely flexible and has a very high bond strength which enables it to provide protection well beyond the limited protection offered by hardware store products. The uniqe resins and innovative formulation allows the coating to seep and sink into the surface providing 'inside out protection'. Commonly marketed coatings are made up of acrylic or silicon resins, and sometimes a combination of both. They do not bond as effectively nor are they as impervious as Liquitite SF. These coatings basically form a thin film on top of the coated surface, not penetrating the way Liquitite SF does, and thus they are much more susceptible to wear and damage. Their limited flexibility and abrasion resistance takes a further toll due to greater wear and cracking.
Liquitite SF is a crystal clear, totally water based, non-flammable coating. It has built in fungicides and UV protectors that inhibit growth of mold, mildew and prevent fading and breakdown from ultraviolet rays. It is supplied in concentrate form and should be diluted prior to use in a ratio of 1:3 or 1:4, depending on the application, using regular tap water. It can be applied by spraying, brushing or rolling using standard equipment. Cleaning can be carried out using regular water while the coating is still wet. Liquitite SF will generally become tack free and dry to the touch in 15 to 30 minutes at ambient temperatures of 77°F or greater. Full cure takes between 48 to 72 hours but the coated surface is usable within a few hours after coating. Full cure is essential to optimal protection.
Since Liquitite SF is a water based coating, the surface to be coated can be damp at the time of coating without the hazard of haze and milkyness that normally occurs with solvent based coatings. This aspect of our coating allows the job to be completed more quickly which in turn saves time, boosts profits and increases customer satisfaction. Liquitite SF is very stable and has a shelf life of well over 12 months. Two or more coatings can be applied depending upon the level of protection and sheen desired.
