Original Press Release:
Num Power CNCs From Num Corporation Offer New Generation Of Compact, Flexible, And Performing Platforms For Industry
Designed to replace its existing 1000 family, Num Power CNCs from the NUM Corporation benefit from a new platform providing decisive extra power, with performance 30% to 40% better than the current platforms. Thanks to a new generation processor they also feature much shorter PLC program execution and block preparation times than their predecessors.
With the new Num Power CNCs, the look-ahead function improves the system response, while the available coprocessor optimizes floating point calculation times for dynamic operators in C. The memory space allotted to CNC, PLC, and HMI programs has also been increased. Today, Num Power CNCs come with an additional multistandard serial line and an additional interrupt input. All connections are made on the front to facilitate wiring while its compact size saves space, especially in high-end configurations.
This new product allows the company to expand its line of CNCs with two additional models. The new series includes the Num Power 1020, 1040, 1050, 1060 and 1080 CNCs. These offer performance solutions for automation of all types of machines having from two to thirty-two axes and up to 1,024 PLC inputs/outputs.
Remote diagnostic, unattended CNC system back-up or fully remote system operation is possible via Ethernet connection options and TCP-IP connection software.
Last but not least, Num Power CNCs are downwardly compatible with the existing 1000 family. Considering the number of Num 1000 CNCs installed and their success, the Num Power CNCs offer an excellent opportunity to upgrade without any loss of the legacy programs and APIs developed by the users.
