Clock Recovery Modules suit OC-192 and 10GbE markets.

Press Release Summary:

M840 Series multi-rate clock recovery modules use phase-lock loop architecture and low-noise SAW VCO to provide low jitter clock and data outputs for fiber optic networks. Typical data output jitter at 9.953 GB/s is less than 8ps p-p. First module in M840 Series is available with data rates of 9.953, 10.3125, 10.664 and 10.709 Gb/s integrated into single unit. Key features include low noise and spurious recovered clok output and 6mV p-p input sensitivity.

Original Press Release:

New M840 Series OC-192 Multi Rate Clock Recovery Module

Worcester, Mass. Micro Networks Corporation is pleased to announce our new Multi-Rate Clock Recovery (CR) module, the M840 Series. This module was specifically designed and developed for use in long haul, ultra long haul and optical test systems in
the OC-192 and 10GbE markets.

The M840 Series is a SAW Based, Multi-rate Clock Recovery Module using phase-lock loop architecture, and high stability, low-noise SAW VCO to provide extremely low jitter clock and data outputs for Fiber Optic Networks applications.

The M840 Series of CR modules builds on Micro Networks world leading capability in low phase noise and jitter performance to regenerate the spectral component from and incoming NRZ data stream, and output a low jitter clock and retimed complementary
data. Typical data output jitter at 9.953 GB/s is less than 8ps p-p. The M840 module is ideal for SONET/SDH OC-192/10GbE system transmitters and receivers, optical test equipment, transponders and transceivers.

The first of a series of M840 modules will be available with data rates of 9.953, 10.3125, 10.664, and 10.709 Gb/s integrated into a single unit. Key features include a low noise and spurious recovered clock output and 6mV p-p input sensitivity. Release of this new product to market is scheduled for April, with samples available in March.
