Leica Microsystems Inc. Introduces New Clinical Laboratory Microscope

Bannockbum, Illinois.
Leica Microsystems expands its clinical microscope line with the Leica DM1000 laboratory microscope, specially designed for custom-configuration to adapt to the unique usage and
comfort needs of every user. The adaptable ergonomics of the Leica DM1000 exceeds today's ergonomic standards and the small footprint saves valuable desk space without sacrificing
comfort.

Leica's pioneering, ergonomic features offer the ability to control the position of all key user interface points, providing a truly customized microscope that is fit to the user. These adaptable ergonomic features can help prevent repetitive strain injuries and lead to overall relaxation in the laboratory. Ergonomic features include Leica's exclusive height adjustable focus knobs that allow users to position their arms and wrists for their own comfort. The low stage controls are also height adjustable and positioned symetrical to the focus knobs, allowing the shoulders to remain in a symetrical position. The viewing tubes tilt and extend, and can be respositioned throughout the day to ensure comfort. Even the overall height of the microscope can be customized using Leica's ergolift and/or the tube height can be adjusted using an ergo module.

Precise, high-quality images are easy to achieve. The Leica DM1000 features brilliant, German-engineered optics, which are brightness synchronized to provide clear, sharp images without the need to adjust light intensity. Pre-fixed Koehler illumination means there is no need to worry about correctly centering the condenser.

For users in the clinical lab who spend many hours at the microscope, ergonomic features are critical, and the Leica DM1000 goes beyond ergonomics to provide a customized, tailor-made solution.
