Intrusive RF Capacitance Level Switch is Ideal for Conductive, Non-Coating or Scaling-Type Liquids
Los Alamitos, California (June 25, 2002) - Flowline's LP10 Intrusive RF Capacitance Level Switch detects the presence of air or liquid by measuring the dielectric values which are present in all materials. An electrical capacitor is formed between the level switch and its environment -- either air or liquid. As liquid comes into contact with the probe tip, the capacitance effect is greatly increased and the switch changes state. An excellent choice for a broad range of relatively clean, conductive, non-coating or scaling-type liquids in metal or non-metallic tanks, accuracy of the LP10 level switch is ±1 mm in water with a repeatability of ±0.5 mm. The conductive range is >100 micromhos.
The 1A SPST relay output provides a reliable switch interface with remote devices such as PLC, SCADA or alarm. Switch output is selectable NO or NC states. For maximum flexibility, the level switch is offered in a general-purpose version with two probe lengths and all-plastic PP or PFA Teflon® for operation in corrosive environments. Both the sensor and cable are rated NEMA 6 (IP68) for submersible operation.
The LP10 level switch is designed for installation through the wall or inside the tank. For installation versatility, it can be packaged with Flowline's Smart Trak(TM), Switch Pak(TM) and Switch Pro(TM). The LP10 level switch is CE certified.
