Cable Stripper features tandem cutterheads.

Press Release Summary:

Utilizing pneumatic drive, Model 4040 can strip tough insulations, such as cross-linked polyethylene, Teflon®, nylon, and other wrapped or extruded insulations. Dual-port, 6-stage cutterhead provides up to 1,800 psi of force to cut through insulated copper up to 0.625 in. OD. Strip assemblies feature double-acting clamp cylinders that provide up to 400 psi of gripping force and can grip wire and cable ranging from 0.187-0.625 in. OD.

Eubanks Introduces New Large Cable Stripper with Tandem-Cutterheads

MONROVIA, Calif. - Eubanks Engineering Co. announces the introduction of Model 4040 Tandem-Cutterhead Large Cable Stripper, with a pneumatic drive that provides tremendous power for stripping tough insulations, such as cross-linked polyethylene, Teflon, Nylon, and other wrapped or extruded insulations. Its dual-port, six-stage cutterhead provides up to 1,800 psi (12,000 kPa) of force to cut through insulated copper up to 0.625 in. O.D. (16 mm). You can also use step-stripping to provide strip lengths of up to 99.99 in. (999.9 mm) on the trailing end.

"Model 4040 has all the features of our recently introduced Model 2940, plus it has two cutterheads. Tandem-cutterheads mean that you can have longer strip lengths on the leading and trailing ends" states company President David Eubanks. "Model 4040 fits nicely in our manufacturing mission of providing production equipment with improved reliability, precision, and ease of use. It is designed to lower operating costs.

"If you're working with large cable such as stranded or solid copper, multi-conductors, or coaxial cable, there is now a reliable, inexpensive means to automatically cut and strip your cable. With our new Model 4040 you can strip long lengths on both ends."

The heavy-duty strip assemblies of the 4040 feature double-acting clamp cylinders that can grip wire and cable ranging from 0.187 in. to 0.625 in. O.D. (5 mm to 16 mm). The double-acting clamps work faster and provide greater force than older models. They provide up to 400 psi (2,700 kPa) of gripping force, which means higher production rates and greater precision.

The newly designed clamp jaws provide a better grip on wire and cable, reducing slippage, which decreases damage to insulation and increases strip length repeatability.

Eubanks Engineering Co., has been an innovator in design and manufacturing for more than 40 years. The company offers a comprehensive line of wire processing equipment for cutting, stripping, and marking wire and cables worldwide. Its programmable electric and pneumatic wire strippers allow users maximum flexibility in setting wire length, strip length and wire size.
