Durex Industries manufacturers a complete line of mineral-insulated cable heaters which can be formed into a wide variety of shapes and sizes to fit customer requirements. These cable heaters deliver a reliable heat source at high temperatures over 1800°F (973°C), in applications where standard heaters are impractical, due to size or space restrictions.
Durex cable heaters can be formed to cover cylindrical areas which require a uniform heating pattern. The elements are specially designed to function at operating temperatures in excess of 1800°F (973°C) while maintaining excellent dielectric strength and insulation resistance properties.
Custom-formed cable heaters from Durex feature a moisture-resistant transition to a flexible leadwire, which can be supplied with additional protective jackets, such as stainless steel braid or stainless steel armor. A variety of electrical connectors are available for application-specific requirements.
