Boiler Tube End Prep Tool Fits into Corners and Tight Areas
A new, lightweight tool that fits into very small spaces for beveling any angle of prep, tube sheet seal weld removal, and facing most boiler tubes up to 3" is being introduced by ESCO Tool of Medfield, Massachusetts.
The Esco Mongoose MILLHOG® right angle drive I.D. clamping end prep tool features a patented push-pull clamp and release mechanism with permanently attached wrenches and is designed to bevel tubes 5/8" I.D. to 3" O.D. Powered by a 2/3 HP pneumatic motor that generates cutting torque at the bit that is capable of machining stainless steel and other highly alloyed tubing, this rugged end prep tool is only 2 ¼" wide and weighs 13 lbs.
Suitable for performing any angle of prep, the Esco Mongoose MILLHOG® end prep tool needs no cutting fluids. Standard features include dual opposed tapered roller bearings, the EscoLock(TM) rigid blade lock system, and TiN coated cutter blades. An optional air-cylinder provides rapid attach and release for fabricating shops.
