Articulated Robots offer 6-axis operation.

Press Release Summary:

Suited for assembly, dispensing, deburring, and soldering operations, AR6 and AR8 multi-axis robots have respective working radii of 650 and 850 mm. They are able to transport up to 5 kg of payload with repetitive precision of ±0.02 mm. Slimline design can be table- or ceiling-mounted. Built-in absolute encoders are controlled by integrated IQ200 control system, available with compact rho4.0 or Windows-based rho4.1 IPC model.

New 6-Axis Articulated Robots From Bosch Rexroth

Company to display its articulated robots at the 2003 Assembly Technology Exposition, September 23-25, 2003, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Chicago, Booth #s 18005 and 18017.

The new, high-speed AR6 and AR8 articulated robots are ideal for assembly, dispensing, deburring, and soldering operations.

Buchanan, MI-New articulated AR6 and AR8 robots provide additional degrees of freedom in robotic positioning. AR6 with a 650-millimeter working radius and AR8 with an 850-millimeter range can transport up to 5 kilograms of payload at high speeds with a repetitive precision of ± 0.02 millimeters. The slimline design of the AR6 and AR8 helps meet space requirements for any application. Table or ceiling mounting gives users added positioning flexibility. Like the turboscara Plus series, the articulated robots have built-in absolute encoders and are controlled by the easy-to-use integrated IQ200 control system available with the compact rho4.0 or the Windows-based rho4.1 IPC model.

The IQ200 is the common control platform for all Bosch Rexroth robots, including SCARA, 6-axis, and multi-axis cartesian systems. This allows the user to choose the right robotic technology for the job without having to train personnel on multiple control platforms. Furthermore, it saves programming time, because program modules or program libraries can be developed and used across the whole facility - - often reducing installation and start-up time significantly.
