Analog I/O Modules offer HART protocol.

Press Release Summary:

Designed for seamless compatibility with ControlLogix(TM) and Experion PKS(TM), 8-channel modules provide full analog capability and HART (highway addressable remote transducer) Protocol. Products maximize I/O performance by combining real-time HART data acquisition with analog acquisition and control. As HART master, modules allow communication with HART field devices, which may be interfaced directly to module.

Spectrum Controls Releases Four New 8-Channel Analog I/O Modules with HART Protocol

Maximize performance with real-time data from process instrumentation and operate a smart network

February 3, 2003-Bellevue, Washington-Spectrum Controls, Inc., the leading manufacturer of hardware and software for the industrial controls marketplace, is pleased to announce the release of four new 8-Channel Analog I/O Modules with HART Protocol. These modules were specifically designed for seamless compatibility with Rockwell Automation's Allen-Bradley ControlLogix(TM) and Honeywell's Experion PKS(TM).

These new modules provide full analog capability and the added benefit of HART (highway addressable remote transducer) Protocol in just one I/O module. The Analog I/O Modules with HART Protocol maximize I/O performance by combining real-time HART data acquisition in conjunction with standard analog acquisition and control-at a fraction of the cost.

Each module also acts as a HART master, allowing communication with HART field devices. Field devices may be interfaced directly to the module, eliminating the expense of additional external HART bridge devices or hand-held communicators. When used in conjunction with an asset management system (AMS), the Analog I/IO Modules with HART Protocol provide configuration, calibration, diagnosis and troubleshooting of smart field devices from a desktop PC. This ability can increase product quality and minimize unplanned downtime, while improving the productivity and profitability of the process.

Spectrum Controls' Analog I/O Modules with HART Protocol reduce wiring and simplify maintenance. Setup is convenient and easy with support from programming software. The result is maximum data access with a low total cost-of-ownership.
