Alarm Module signals machinery problems.

Press Release Summary:

DIN-rail mountable Model 682A04 dual relay alarm module works with any 4-20 mA signal input. Its adjustable, 0-45 sec time delay makes it suitable for use with vibration signal inputs that directly output signal or with vibration transmitters that provide conditioned output signal from analog accelerometers. Time delay serves to eliminate false alarm trips due to momentary vibratory upsets, caused by machinery start-ups, run downs, or vehicle drive-bys.

DIN-Rail Mountable Dual Relay Alarm Module

August 5, 2002, Depew, NY - The IMI Sensors Division of PCB Piezotronics, Inc., has released the Model 682A04 DIN-Rail Mountable, Dual Relay Alarm Module that is specifically designed to provide an early warning of deteriorating machinery condition. Although capable of operation with any 4 to 20 mA signal input, the unit is particularly well suited for vibration signal inputs due to its adjustable, 0 to 45 second time delay. The time delay feature serves to eliminate false alarm trips due to momentary vibratory upsets, which may be caused by machinery start-ups, run downs, or vehicle drive-bys. The unit operates with vibration sensors that directly output a 4 to 20 mA signal or with vibration transmitters that provide a conditioned 4 to 20 mA output signal from analog accelerometers.

The two alarm relays are Form C, can accommodate normally open or closed wiring schemes, and can handle up to 5 amps of power. Each can be individually set for HI or LOW threshold limits and employ a latching technique with a local reset button or remote reset capability. The slim, DIN-rail mounted package supports high-density installations and features removable terminal blocks to simplify wiring.
