New Lightweight Graco XTR-5 Gun Handles High-Pressure Applications

MINNEAPOLIS, MN - July 6, 2007 - Designed specifically for high-pressure applications, the new Graco XTR-5 Gun handles extreme pressures up to 5000 psi (345 bar) and sprays a range of materials.

"The new XTR-5 is the latest addition to Graco's airless spray gun family," says Matthew Kahle, Worldwide Product Marketing Manager, High Performance Coatings and Foam, Graco. "It's flexible and rugged enough to spray single-component, plural-component, and industrial high solids coatings, and yet it's one of the most lightweight guns on the market," Kahle says.

Weighing only 14 ounces (0.4 kg), the XTR-5 joins the XTR-7 Gun, which offers a maximum fluid pressure of 7250 psi (500 bar). Both XTR guns feature the new EasyGlide(TM) swivel for easier hose and gun movement under high pressures, and an Easy Out(TM) gun filter for reduced tip plugging. A variety of handle and trigger options are available to maximize operator comfort. Because XTR guns require fewer tools for maintenance, contractors maximize productivity and uptime.
