Northfield Precision Instrument Corporation, a leader in the design and manufacture of precision workholding chucks, announces the introduction of its Model 350 standard 3" diameter (0.0001 T.I.R.) 3-jaw Air Chuck, that is mounted to a BT-30 tool holder and modified for spring clamp/air open. The chuck assembly mounts in a standard BT-30 vertical machining center, rotates up to 4500 rpm and is actuated via the coolant through spindle passage. A standard VMC can now be used as a vertical lathe with a pallet on one side for automatic load/unload of the work pieces.
