Air Cannon withstands high temperature environments.

Press Release Summary:

BIG BLASTER® HURRICANE Air Cannon features discharge valve that is accessible without dismounting tank from vessel wall, and all moving parts such as seat, piston, and valve can be removed and replaced as single assembly. Discharge of unit requires positive air pulse, reducing risk of accidental discharge of system or individual air cannon. System allows installation of control solenoid up to 200 ft from air tank without sacrificing force output.

Martin Engineering Introduces New BIG BLASTER® HURRICANE Air Cannon

New Valve Design Produces Twice the Force Using Half the Air

Martin Engineering, the Neponset, Illinois-based supplier of systems and services to improve bulk materials handling, has taken another step forward in the management of material flow with the introduction of the BIG BLASTER® HURRICANE Air Cannon.

The new BIG BLASTER® HURRICANE Air Cannon features an efficient discharge valve that provides more force output to remove buildups and improve flow. The patent-pending design supplies twice the force using half the air of Martin Engineering's conventional air cannon designs.

Air cannons provide a powerful blast of air to improve the flow of bulk materials through storage and process vessels. Applications include the recovery of solids from bins and silos and the elimination of buildups in cement kiln preheater towers.

The efficient design of the discharge valve on the new BIG BLASTER® HURRICANE Air Cannon allows use of a smaller air reservoir, which in turn simplifies installation and maintenance. The new air cannon is designed to be service-friendly, as the valve is accessible without dismounting the tank from the vessel wall, and all moving parts-seat, piston, and valve-can be removed and replaced as a single assembly.

Discharge of the BIG BLASTER® HURRICANE Air Cannon requires a positive air pulse, reducing the risk of accidental discharge of the system or individual air cannon. The new system allows installation of the control solenoid up to 200 feet (61 meters) from the air tank without sacrificing force output, simplifying air line installation.

The new BIG BLASTER® HURRICANE Air Cannon is suitable for all applications, including cement kiln preheater towers and other high temperature environments.
