ATCA, AMC, cPCI and COM Express products on display in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS/NXTcomm08 - June 16, 2008 - ADLINK Technology, Inc.®, a leading provider of trusted embedded products, today announced that NXTcomm08 at the Las Vegas Convention Center will feature the debut of several new products including AdvancedTCA® (ATCA) and COM Express(TM) offerings. The products will be on display in booth SL5909A in the PICMG Pavilion.
The aTCA-6900, a next-generation ATCA CPU blade, features the Intel® 5100 chipset, two quad-core LV Xeon® processors and two AMC bays for enhanced performance, integration and flexibility. By incorporating Intel 64-bit extended memory technology, the aTCA-6900 provides telecom equipment manufacturers (TEMs) with a powerful, cost-effective solution that offers increased memory capabilities, storage and connectivity options.
ADLINK's aTCA-8214 is a 19-inch, 12U height 14-slot ATCA shelf that supports a 14-slot dual dual-star topology fabric interface and standard Rear Transition Module slots. Dual-Pigeon Point Systems SHMM-500 based shelf manager (ShMC) are designed to work in active/standby mode for redundancy. With dual-bussed IPMB and I2C buses in system, the aTCA-8214 can manipulate the ATCA blades and dual hot-swappable fan trays according to the temperature sensor reading.
Based on the Broadcom® BCM56800 and BCM56312 silicon switch with an Intel Pentium® M 1.4GHz COM Express processor, the aTCA-3400 is a 20-port 10GbE ATCA fabric multilayer switch blade. With a standard COM Express footprint as a control plane processor, the aTCA-3400 can be equipped with spread range computing power from the Intel Celeron® M to the latest Core(TM) 2 Duo processors, depending on application demands.
The AMC-1000 is an optimized mid-size or full-size AdvancedMC(TM) (AMC) processor module and features the Intel Core(TM) Duo and Core 2 Duo 64-bit processors. Also featured on the AMC-1000 is the 3100 server-class integrated chipset to balance power consumption, computing and I/O throughput. In addition, analog RGB up to 1600 x 1200 UXGA resolution is also integrated to support various applications designed in ATCA or uTCA platforms.
The cPCI-3920 series of 3U CompactPCI® single board computers (SBCs) feature Intel's Core Duo or Core 2 Duo processors and the Intel 3100 chipset. Available in both single- and dual-slot models, the cPCI-3920 provides robust I/O including dual PCI Express® Gigabit Ethernet, Serial ATA storage, three USB 2.0 and three serial ports.
ADLINK's Express-MC800 is the newest and highest performing member of its COM family due to the Intel Core 2 Duo, GME965 chipset and high-end graphics. Measuring just 125 x 95mm, it is fully COM Express Type 2 compatible. The Express-MC800 is the first COM Express module that provides a general-purpose PCI Express x8 lane multiplexed with its PCI Express Graphics (PEG) lanes. With it positioned as a price performance leader, the Express-MC800 is ideal for applications such as medical equipment, gaming, industrial automation, test and measurement, video preprocessing and industrial control.
Ampro, acquired by ADLINK this year, is displaying the COM 840, the industry's first extreme rugged COM Express module. Utilizing Intel's Core 2 Duo processor and GME965/ICH9M chipset, the COM 840 is designed to meet MIL-STD-202F and operate at extended temperatures of -40° to +85°C. The COM 840 is ideal for military/defense, aviation and transportation applications. With up to 4GB of DDR2 667 SODIMM, the module also boasts eight USB 2.0 ports, two SATA II ports, PCI Express 5x1 and 1x16 bus interface and supports HDTV.
