Two New State-Of-The-Art Fasson-Brand Adhesives Deliver High Performance for Electronic Labeling Applications

Painesville, Ohio - Pressure-sensitive materials developer Avery Dennison introduces two Fasson-brand adhesives designed to support the durability and readability needs of today's electronics manufacturing processes and end-use applications. Fasson® S8010 and S8015 adhesives are clear, acrylic adhesives with good initial tack, high shear and excellent adhesion to virtually any substrate used in electronics devices. Both are engineered for optimum performance and strength across a broad range of electronics applications. This means both S8010 and S8015 meet the rigorous demands of electronics OEMs, contract manufacturers and label printers for devices such as computer and peripheral equipment, telecommunications and wireless devices, consumer electronics devices and microelectronics.

These latest Fasson-brand products offer the electronics market unique characteristics available only with Avery Dennison technology. In addition to excellent adhesion to a full range of surface energy substrates, S8015 offers excellent adhesion to some difficult surfaces, like powder coat paint. Both adhesives feature superior chemical and UV resistance and are recognized by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) under various conditions such as exposure to heat, humidity, water and chemicals.

Fasson S8010 and S8015 adhesives are offered on a range of film facestock materials. Seventeen initial products have been launched to the marketplace and are stocked in various locations across the U.S. as well as offered in strategic global locations. The products in this new portfolio are available with or without topcoats and are compatible with a variety of print treatments, from traditional flexographic and letterpress printing to on-demand thermal transfer. Each offers outstanding converting characteristics, can be die cut and stripped at high speeds on standard web-fed presses and can be successfully dispensed and applied by hand or with standard, automatic label application equipment.

These enhancements to the Fasson electronics labeling portfolio build on last year's introduction of a range of polyimide label materials, demonstrating Avery Dennison's ongoing commitment to continually offering value-added, global products and services for this important labeling market.

Based in Pasadena, Calif., Avery Dennison is a global leader in pressure-sensitive technology and innovative self-adhesive solutions for consumer products and label materials.
