Model 27A11/A12 i-TEDS Accelerometer Designed for Measuring Vibration on Miniature Structures

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. - September 23, 2002 - Endevco's new Model 27A11/12 is one of the smallest accelerometers to feature i-TEDS capabilities. The accelerometer's built-in digital memory chip stores information as a Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS), an industry standard format specified by IEEE 1451.4. Information such as sensitivity, location, and calibration coefficients can be quickly and correctly configured, virtually eliminating human-related errors. Designed for measuring vibration on miniature structures and small objects, the hermetically sealed Model 27A11/12 offers high resonance frequency and wide bandwidth, while its light weight (1 gm) eliminates mass loading. A field-replaceable miniature cable is supplied with each unit.

The Model 27A11/A12 features Endevco's PIEZITE® Type P-8 crystal element operating in annular shear mode, providing excellent output sensitivity stability over time. The accelerometer's internal hybrid signal conditioner is a two-wire system, enabling it to transmit a low impedance voltage output through the same cable that supplies the constant current power. A tool is included to facilitate removal of the accelerometer from its mounting surface.

Endevco Signal Conditioner models 4416B, 133, 2792B, 2793, 2775B or OASIS 2000 Computer-Controlled System are recommended for use with these accelerometers.
