World's Smallest Piezoelectric Accelerometer Provides Vibration Measurement on Miniature Objects

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. - November 18 2002 - Endevco's Model 22 PICOMIN(TM) is the world's smallest piezoelectric accelerometer. It is designed specifically for measuring vibration on miniature objects such as scaled models, circuit boards, and disk drives. This device features Endevco's PIEZITE(TM) Type P-8 crystal element, operating in radial shear mode which exhibits excellent sensitivity stability over time. In addition, the Model 22's light weight (0.14 gm) effectively minimizes mass loading effects.

Signal ground is isolated from the mounting surface of the unit by a hard anodized surface. A low-noise coaxial cable provides error-free operation and a tool is included in the shipping case to ensure proper removal of the cable and transducer in the field. The Model 22 is a self-generating device that requires no external power source for operation.

Endevco Signal Conditioner Models 133, 2775A or OASIS 2000 Computer-Controlled System are recommended for use with this high impedance accelerometer.
