Endevco's Model 257/257M1 Piezoelectric Accelerometer Combines High Performance and Low Cost

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. - July 3, 2002 - Endevco's Model 257/257M1 ISOTRON® piezoelectric accelerometer with integral electronics offers hiqh performance at a low cost. Designed specifically for structural and vibration measurements, the accelerometer's liqht weiqht (1.9 gm) effectively minimizes mass loading effects while a hermetically sealed top connector and welded housing assure long-term reliability in the most demanding environments. The Model 257/257M1 is designed for stud mounting, utilizing an 8-32 or 5-40 integral stud.

Featuring Endevco's unique PIEZITE® Type P-8 crystal element operating in annular shear mode, the Model 257/257M1 exhibits excellent thermal transient stability. This accelerometer uses a built-in low noise microelectronic amplifier to transmit its low impedance voltage output through the same two-wire cable that supplies the required constant current power.

Endevco's Signal Conditioner Models 4461B, 133, 2792B, 2793, 2775B or OASIS 2000 Computer-Controlled System are recommended for use with this accelerometer.
