Very Thin Profile Thermal Surface Absorber Head Offers 4W to 250W Measurement Capability for Lasers
Wilmington, MA November, 2003. Ophir Optronics, Inc. announces the introduction of the model L250W, a very thin profile (20mm thick), thermal surface absorber head for continuous wave and long pulse lasers.
This thin profile, large aperture, water-cooled smart head is designed for laser measurements in very tight locations. The L250W head is only 90mm x 90mm x 20mm thick. It can measure powers from 4W to 250W and energies from 200mJ to 200J. Power and energy scales for this head are 250W, 30W and 200J, 30J and 3J, respectively.
The L25OW offers a power measurement accuracy of ±3%, with a "linearity with power" specification of ±2%. Maximum power density is 6KW/cm² and the overall response time with display (0-95%) is 2.5 seconds for this head. The model L250W thermal measurement head is compatible with all Ophir smart displays.
