Model 7424 RJ45 A/B/C/D Switch with Serial Remote Control Port



Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, announces the new Pathway® Model 7424 RJ45 A/B/C/D Switch that provides 4-port switching in a low profile unit. The Model 7424 allows sharing a single RJ45 interface device connected to the Common port among four other devices connected to the A, B, C, and D ports.

This flexible network switch may be controlled manually by simply pressing and holding the front panel pushbutton. Remotely control the switch, query switch position or lockout front panel controls via the RS232 interface using ASCII commands. All 8 leads of the RJ45 interface are switched and switch ports are transparent to all data. All switched signals are passed via dependable copper contact relays that maintain their position and continuity in the event of a power loss.
