White Paper: Silicones Meet the Needs of the Electronics Industry

Silicones offer the ability to maintain their physical properties across a wide range of temperatures while featuring unmatched flexibility. In this white paper, learn what makes silicones different from other organic polymers, and how they are playing a special role in the development of emerging electronic device technology.

Electrically Conductive System Has High Flexibility

MasterSil 973S-LO is a two component, silver filled silicone with superb electrical and thermal conductivity. Its exceptionally low volume resistivity of 0.004 ohm-cm allows it to be used for many difficult applications involving bonding, sealing and coating. It is a paste like system with minimal flow and can be utilized as a form-in-place conductive gasketing material. Service operating temperature is -120°F to +400°F [-84°C to +204°C]. MasterSil 973S-LO is vacuum compatible.

Low Viscosity Conformal Coating Cures Quickly at Room Temperature

Easy to use, solvent-free MasterSil 773 is a one component exceptionally low viscosity, silicone elastomer based conformal coating. It provides excellent protection to electronic circuitry in high humidity environments as well as upon exposure to shock and vibration. While curing it exerts almost no stress on components, and after curing, it is easily repairable.

Flexible, Heat Dissipative Silicone Withstands 400°F

MasterSil 151AO is a two component, low viscosity silicone compound for high performance potting and encapsulation. It combines high temperature resistance, superior flexibility, outstanding thermal conductivity and thermal cycling resistance. This addition cured silicone system cures readily at room temperature and does not require air for complete cross-linking.
