Seco Tools Announces Seminar Focusing on Machining Aerospace Materials
Troy, Michigan, January 27, 2011 - Seco Tools has announced a seminar to focus on working with difficult-to-machine materials, such as high temperature superalloys, titanium base alloys, stainless steel and composites. Titled "Solutions for Machining Materials Common to the Aerospace Industry," the event will take place on May 10, 2011, at Mazak's North American Headquarters and National Technology Center in Florence, Kentucky.
"The aerospace industry is constantly focusing on reducing weight to improve fuel economy and increase overall efficiency," says Don Graham, Manager-Turning Products & Education Services of Seco Tools. The event will run from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, with lunch provided from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm. A variety of speakers from both Seco Tools and Mazak will cover numerous topics, including high-pressure coolant systems, using solid carbide tooling in composites applications and dovetail machining.
