Fairport, NY, USA: Saelig Company, Inc. has introduced the Teledyne LeCroy T3EL15030xP Programmable DC Electronic Loads - versatile test devices which feature four operating modes to provide wide ranging test capabilities. In Constant Current mode, the electronic loads will sink a constant current, regardless of the voltage at the device terminals. Its Constant Voltage mode causes a constant voltage to appear at its terminals. In Constant Resistance mode, the electronic load will behave as a fixed ohm value and will linearly change the current according to the input voltage. The Constant Power mode allows a fixed power to be dissipated in the load. Transient testing allows switching between two different load values at up to 25kHz to test the dynamic characteristics of a DC source or DUT (Device Under Test).
The instruments have a 3.5" TFT-LCD display, a user friendly interface and excellent performance specifications. The T3EL150302P model features an input range of 150V/30A @ 200 W while the T3EL150303P version has an input range of 150V/30A @ 300 W. The T3EL15030xP series offers a measurement resolution of 1 mV/1 mA and adjustable current rise times from 0.001A/us to 2.5 A/us.
For remote communication and control, the T3EL15030xP series includes RS232/USB/LAN interfaces.
The T3EL15030xP loads can provide insight into battery performance by analyzing the discharge characteristics of the DUT. The T3EL15030xP features three stop conditions for the discharge test: voltage, capacity or time. The discharge process is immediately terminated if the stop conditions are met, providing more control over the test termination and safety during critical tests. Throughout the test process the battery voltage, discharge current, discharge time and discharged capability displays are clearly shown on the LCD panel. The T3EL15030xP series delivers stability over a wide range of testing applications including power, battery/ handheld device design, industrial use, LED lighting, automotive electronics, and aerospace.
