Papers are Invited for the 14th International Symposium on Reactor Dosimetry
Press release date: May 11, 2010
The symposium theme is dosimetry for the assessment of irradiated reactor materials and reactor experiments, featuring radiation metrology techniques, databases and standardization. Under this theme, papers are solicited for presentation in the following areas:
Reactor surveillance and plant-life management;
Data evaluation, uncertainty analysis and adjustment methods;
Retrospective dosimetry and decommissioning;
Dosimetry for assessment of reactor structural materials;
Neutron and gamma-ray transport calculations;
Dosimetry for core characterization and reactor physics;
Characterization of neutron and gamma-ray environments;
Damage correlation and exposure parameters;
Monitoring of irradiation experiments;
Nuclear data for dosimetry;
Benchmarking, calibrations and standards;
Fusion and high-energy neutrons;
Dosimetry for advanced reactor concepts;
Neutron sources (reactor and accelerator);
Irradiation processing and testing of electronics;
Experimental techniques, new developments and optical methods; and
Dosimetry for space nuclear power.
Papers in these and other areas are expected to cover such applications as fission and fusion energy research and experiments at test reactors and research facilities. Please note that Health Physics papers are outside the scope of this symposium and will not be considered for acceptance. The symposium will be organized into oral and poster presentations, as well as informal roundtable workshops.
Additional information, including contacts, abstract submittal, technical programs, hotel and transportation can be found at the symposium Web site as it becomes available (www.astm.org/E10symp511.htm). For more information, see www.reactordosimetry.com.
ASTM International is one of the largest international standards development and delivery systems in the world. ASTM International meets the World Trade Organization (WTO) principles for the development of international standards: coherence, consensus, development dimension, effectiveness, impartiality, openness, relevance and transparency. ASTM standards are accepted and used in research and development, product testing, quality systems and commercial transactions.
