Novatec Opens Project Engineering Office in Michigan to Serve U.S. Great Lakes Region and Ontario
KALAMAZOO, MI, U.S.A., May 22: Plastics processors in key manufacturing centers surrounding the Great Lakes now have ready access to NOVATEC engineering services for complete auxiliary equipment systems, the company announced today.
The new NOVATEC Great Lakes Regional Projects Office provides on-site consulting, system design, and supervision of installation. In addition to projects centered on NOVATEC resin drying, blending, and conveying systems, the office provides engineering services for U.S. customers of the new Auxiliary Systems Group (ASG), an alliance between NOVATEC and ADVANTAGE Engineering, Inc., a leading producer of industrial heat transfer and process fluid temperature control systems.
The Great Lakes Regional Projects Office draws on capabilities equivalent to those of the NOVATEC systems engineering group at the company headquarters in Baltimore, according to Douglas Arndt, head of the new facility. "NOVATEC has staffed our Michigan office with an experienced team of local people already known to many of our customers in the region," said Arndt. "We are equipped with the latest systems design software and ready to take on projects of considerable size and complexity, from advising on potential equipment systems to technical support long after project completion."
NOVATEC recently appointed Arndt as regional vice president in charge of system design. Working with him are two project managers, Dave McCurdy and Kevin Embury.
