Nordson Supports Packaging Industry through PMMI Golf Tournament Sponsorship

DULUTH, Georgia - September 25, 2007 - Nordson (Nasdaq-NDSN) announced today that it will sponsor the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute's (PMMI) Education and Training Foundation Golf Tournament, to be held October 14, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The golf tournament will be held one day prior to the opening of Pack Expo, PMMI's annual tradeshow. Nordson will showcase its adhesive dispensing innovations in Booth #C-457 at the show.

Established in 2006, PMMI's Education and Training Foundation raises money throughout the year to fund its scholarship program for member employees, packaging machinery students and partner schools throughout the United States and Canada. Funds raised at the golf tournament will be distributed through the following programs:

Claude Breeden Scholarships: The foundation awards scholarships to community colleges and technical school programs that train mechanics and technicians to work with packaging machinery.

Travel Scholarships: Travel scholarships are available for students in the packaging and machinery manufacturing programs to help students cover the cost of travel and lodging for the Pack Expo shows.

The Member Tuition Reimbursement Program: Created to encourage and support the efforts of those individuals furthering their education, individuals employed by a PMMI member company can apply for tuition reimbursement to cover the cost of one job-related course per semester.

Eric Luftig, marketing manager for Nordson's Adhesive Systems Group says, "Nordson is proud to sponsor PMMI in its efforts to raise money for the next generation of packaging professionals. It is our goal to support the people and products that will help sustain future growth in our industry."
As a sponsor, Nordson will be recognized at an awards luncheon following the golf tournament.
