Mahr Federal to Introduce Multiple Products and Innovations at IMTS

-- A New Formtester, A New Series of Digital Indicators and Amplifiers, a New Optical Measuring System and Innovative USB Connectivity Enliven Booth D-4324

PROVIDENCE, RI - Mahr Federal's booth at this year's IMTS will feature a prolific display of new products and innovations. The company will showcase its new MarForm(TM) Formtester, the MMQ 34, and introduce a new MarCator series of digital indicators, new Millimar Amplifiers, a Helio-Scope universal optical measuring system, and an innovative USB-based system and software for connecting gages. Mahr Federal will occupy booth # D-4324 at IMTS 2006, Sept 6 - 13, in McCormick Place, Chicago, IL.

With its new MMQ 34, Mahr Federal has introduced a more economical version of its popular MarForm MMQ series of geometry gages. The new MMQ 34 Formtester offers all the measurement capabilities, accuracy and repeatability of the popular MMQ 44 version, including a large measuring and load capacity for its size. But with its simplified controller, new software platform and manual center/tilt-table, the new MMQ 34 is a more economical alternative.

A new USB hub system from Mahr Federal makes connecting gages with computers a simple matter of 'plug and play.' The new MarConnect USB interface kits provide all the elements needed to make quick, universal assemblies of multiple measuring systems for data transmission. MarConnect kits include data connection cables, a seven-port industrial model USB hub (although any approved USB hub device will suffice) and new MarCom data transmission software.

A new generation of digital indicators from Mahr Federal is the first to take advantage of this USB interface. MarCator 1086 and 1087 indicators feature large LCD displays with an integral tolerance function that can either display measured values within the tolerance zone, or indicate simple Go/No Go in- or out-of-tolerance conditions without measured values. MarCator model 1087 also incorporates analog display.

A new line of amplifiers from Mahr Federal includes background lit LCD displays for improved visibility. The Millimar C1208 and 1216 Amplifiers are more compact than previous Mahr Federal Amplifiers and are also more economically priced.

The Helio-Scope from Mahr is a universal optical measuring system designed to facilitate precision control of complex turned parts. Able to operate both in the lab and on the shop floor, Helio-Scope allows the measurement of many characteristics on turned parts in seconds and without contact. A fully automatic measuring sequence eliminates operator influence from measurement results, and a graphic interface simplifies instrument use.
