Peter Knowles, President, HIRSCHMANN Engineering USA, Inc., announces the opening of the company's new facility in Elgin, Illinois. Originally located in Arlington Heights, Illinois and founded in 1992, HIRSCHMANN has been located in Buffalo Grove, Illinois for the last eleven years. Construction of the new 10,000+ square foot building and offices was completed in September 2006. As of October 2, 2006 this location has been serving as the new home of HIRSCHMANN's North American corporate offices and the future home of Oelheld US, Inc. The new location is the sales,
distribution and warehouse headquarters for all HIRSCHMANN and Oelheld Products. Other warehouse area locations include Los Angeles, Toronto, Detroit, Minneapolis and New Jersey.
Planned use of the facility in the coming year includes an area for development of robotic cells and the blending of Oelheld products; Ionoplus® 3000 synthetic EDM fluid and Sintogrind® TTS synthetic high speed grinding fluid. Other products will be added in the future. A later formal dedication of the new building will take place in the first quarter of 2007.
