HCL Completes First Oracle 12i Implementation for SolFocus

HCL Enables Growth and Global Expansion at Innovative Green Technology Company

Sunnyvale and Mountain View, CA - October 31, 2007: HCL Technologies Ltd. ("HCL"), India's leading global IT services company, today announced the completion of the company's first Oracle 12i implementation for SolFocus, a pioneer in the development of solar energy systems. As a Certified Advantage Partner for Oracle with extensive global reach, HCL was chosen to lead this effort due to the company's deep expertise and expansive service delivery capabilities.

"With our rapid market and product expansion, we were in need of a technology upgrade in processes and services," said Bob Legendre, VP of Operations at SolFocus. "This partnership with HCL and Oracle has enabled us to continue to focus on our mission to develop technology that eliminates the cost barriers to solar energy production, while ensuring we continue to meet our technical goals and business objectives."

"Completing our first Oracle 12i implementation is an important milestone for HCL," said Sandeep Kishore, SVP, Hi-Tech and Manufacturing at HCL technologies. "Furthermore, contributing to the expansion and success of an emerging green technology company is immensely rewarding to our team and company."

Growth Requires a Sophisticated and Scalable Solution
SolFocus' growth plans required the business information system to transition from a distributed userbased model to an integrated solution with a unified database structure, technology platform and a common set of business processes. Furthermore, due to SolFocus' anticipated business growth, plans for future applications and processes had to include application scalability in multiple geographies, as
well as domestic and foreign entities.

SolFocus needed an ERP solution that would deliver the maximum value for their investment and cater to their dynamic business requirements. After multiple evaluation rounds, SolFocus decided Oracle 12i offered the best value proposition and that the Oracle/HCL team showcased the needed expertise and flexibility required.

Enhanced Features Support Global Strategy
As SolFocus continues to grow internationally, including through acquisitions, Oracle 12i provides valuable features that support the company's global technology needs, including:

o Multi-Organization Access Control: Enables transactions for multiple operating units to be entered from single responsibility thereby enhancing user productivity

o Centralized Setups of Intercompany and Intracompany Accounts: Facilitates control, monitoring and reconciliations of intercompany and intracompany transactions

o Order Management: Enables invoicing and revenue recognition to be deferred until customer acceptance
