CO2 Laser Lenses Run Cooler for Consistent Cuts


A line of low absorption laser CO2 lenses that run cooler than standard lenses to provide focal length stability and help assure consistent cut quality is available from Laser Research Optics of Providence, Rhode Island.

Laser Research Cool-Cut(TM) CO2 Laser Lenses are designed to run cooler than standard lenses to protect against thermal damage and provide focal length stability, resulting in consistent quality cuts. Featuring a proprietary coating that absorbs < 0.15% of laser energy, these ultra-low absorption lenses are direct replacements for most standard OEM laser lenses.

Longer lasting than standard A/R coated lenses, Laser Research Cool-Cut(TM) CO2 Laser Lenses have a 40-20 scratch-dig surface quality and transmission is > 99.0% at 10.6 micron. They are available in 1" and 2" dia. sizes from 0.236" to 0.380" thick with focal lengths from 1" to 25" in 0.5" increments.
