Building Expansion Ribbon Cutting set for January 7
Burger Brown Engineering is pleased to announce the completion of a building expansion which increases manufacturing floor space by 60%. Ribbon Cutting ceremony for the new 20,000 square foot addition is set for January 7, 2016 at 9:00AM. The Mayor of Grandview MO, Leonard Jones, will be the guest of honor.
Phil Burger founded Burger Engineering in Olathe, Kansas in 1978 after working nearly ten years as a mechanical engineer in the plastics industry. Current CEO, Mark Brown, joined the firm in 1994 as Vice President and assumed responsibility for daily operations in 1997. In 2002, the company name was changed to Burger Brown Engineering. Mark Brown was named President and CEO in 2005 with controlling interest in the company.
In 2005, the company built a new 30,000 square foot building at the present location in Grandview, Missouri with extra land for expansion. In late December 2015, the final touches are being added to the addition.
The extra space will allow Burger & Brown Engineering to add machinery to support the Smartflow product offering as well as Injection Molding, CNC Milling, Swiss Turning, Engineering, Factory Automation, Inspection and the new Scientific Cooling training component of the business.
