New ASTM Subcommittee to Focus on Nanostructured Inorganic Coatings
Press release date: Oct 04, 2010
"The primary users of ASTM WK29468 will be steel companies that make galvanized products, including sheet metal, wire and structural products, as well as industry users who face the challenges of corrosion," says Christina Lomasney, president and CEO, Modumetal, and chair of B08.16. Lomasney notes that such industries include maritime, transportation, automotive, petrochemical and construction.
All interested parties are welcome to participate in the ongoing development of ASTM WK29468. "We hope to encourage participation from both suppliers, namely companies that are actively engaged in the development and production of nanostructured coatings, and from end users who would benefit from such coatings", says Lomasney.
