ASTM Nonferrous Metals Committee presents award to Terry Gabel.

ASTM International Committee B02 on Nonferrous Metals and Alloys honored Terry Gabel, senior metallurgical engineer at Swagelok (Solon, OH) with Gary M. Kralik Distinguished Service Award. ASTM member since 2003, Gabel was recognized for service as B02 recording secretary and on Subcommittee on Refined Nickel and Cobalt and Their Alloys (B02.07). Gabel also serves as American Society for Metals member.

ASTM Committee on Nonferrous Metals Presents Kralik Award to Terry Gabel



Terry Gabel, senior metallurgical engineer at Swagelok Company in Solon, Ohio, has received the Gary M. Kralik Distinguished Service Award from ASTM International Committee B02 on Nonferrous Metals and Alloys.



A member of ASTM since 2003, Gabel was specifically recognized for his service as B02 recording secretary and on the Subcommittee on Refined Nickel and Cobalt and Their Alloys (B02.07). He has previously received Awards of Appreciation from B02 and Committee A01 on Steel, Stainless Steel and Related Alloys, of which he is also a member.



Gabel was a senior engineer and manager at First Energy Corp. in Cleveland, Ohio, for many years before joining the staff at Swagelok as an associate metals engineer in 1998. He was promoted to supervisor of the materials test lab in 2001 and assumed his current title in 2008.



A graduate of Cleveland State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering, Gabel is also a member of the American Society for Metals in addition to ASTM.
