Pressure Reducing Regulator has in-line, stainless steel design.

Press Release Summary:

Designed for sanitary biotechnical process piping systems, PL1 is capable of withstanding inlet pressures up to 400 psig and outlet pressures up to 135 psig. Self-draining body design and trims comply with ASME BPE 2012 SF-4, while insertion of pin and lanyard provide necessary means for SIP and CIP processes. USP Class VI PTFE soft seal or 316L stainless steel plug are available options, and lack of lower spring underneath piston/plug promotes cleanliness.

Cashco Releases New PL-1 Regulator

Ellsworth, Kansas, USA – In its quest to develop new products that are critical to customer growth, Cashco Inc., has introduced a new Model PL1 in-line pressure regulator.

“The PL1 is similar to our existing Model 5381 regulator, which is a stainless steel pressure reducing regulator designed for sanitary biotechnical process piping systems,” explains Clint Rogers, General Manager, Valve Division, Cashco, Inc. “However, the PL1 is built for greater flow capacities and is capable of withstanding inlet pressures up to 400 psig and outlet pressures up to 135 psig.”

As Rogers explains, the PL1 incorporates a self-draining body design and trims that comply with ASME BPE 2012 SF-4. Insertion of a pin and lanyard provide the means necessary for Steam-In-Place and Clean-In-Place processes. The PL1 also comes with the option of either a 316L stainless steel plug or USP Class VI PTFE soft seal. Unlike most in-line pressure reducing regulators, though, the PL1 does not have a lower spring underneath the piston/plug, thereby providing a cleaner product.

“The PL1 is just one more example of Cashco’s commitment to the continued growth of the sanitary and bio-pharmaceutical applications,” Rogers concludes. “True to our motto, ‘We Simply Make it Right’, we are once again proving our dedication to quality and dependability.”
