Clad Tubing End Prep Tool Removes Membrane and Machines Tube
A new membrane removal head for their Wart MILLHOG® right angle end prep tool that can remove membrane from between the tubes and prepare them for welding is being introduced by ESCO Tool of Medfield, Massachusetts.
The Wart Membrane Removal Head for the Wart MILLHOG® right angle welding end prep tool can machine membrane from between clad tubes, simultaneously remove overlay, and put a finished end prep on the tube; ready for welding. Featuring multiple carbide bits with four cutting edges each, this membrane removal head allows users to rotate the bits for long service.
Designed to perform 37-1/2° and "J" preps, flat face, and bore clad tubing, while removing the overlay, the Wart Membrane Removal Head can be field retrofit onto the Wart MILLHOG® right angle welding end prep tool. The tool itself requires a minimum 2-5/8" radial clearance to easily fit a "Dutchman" window and has a working range from 3/4" I.D. to 4-1/2" O.D.
The Wart Membrane Removal Head for Wart MILLHOG® right angle welding end prep tool is priced at $795.00 complete. The tool itself is $3,995.00 or can be rented for $140.00 per week in the continental U.S.A.
