Measuring corrosion rate and pitting tendency, CorraterŽ CWT-9020 is designed for on-line monitoring of water systems in electrically hazardous areas with operating range of -40 to +70°C. Transmitter can be supplied as part of CosascoŽ Wireless Corrosion Monitoring System or added to any Emerson Smart Wireless Network or output from gateway via Modbus Interface to any process automation system. Once installed, computed corrosion rate and pitting tendency may be read.

Rohrback Cosasco Systems introduced the new CorraterŽ Wireless Corrosion Transmitter measuring corrosion rate and pitting tendency in water systems. The Corrater CWT-9020 transmitter is designed for on-line corrosion monitoring of water systems in electrically hazardous areas with an allowable operating range of from -40°C to 70°C. The CWT has a patented high frequency measurement on two electrodes for compensation of solution resistance that provides the highest accuracy and widest range of operation.
The Corrater Wireless Corrosion Transmitter can be supplied as part of a complete CosascoŽ Wireless Corrosion Monitoring System comprised of Corrater Wireless Corrosion Transmitters, MicrocorŽ Wireless Corrosion Transmitter’s, Quicksand™ Wireless Corrosion Transmitters, Cosasco Wireless Extenders, Gateways, corrosion management and process interface software. Alternatively, the Corrater Wireless Corrosion Transmitter can be added seamlessly to any Emerson Smart Wireless Network or output from the gateway via Modbus Interface to virtually any Process Automation System.
Each wireless corrosion transmitter will work as a node in a self-organizing network (mesh) to ensure consistent delivery of data. Secure and infinitely configurable, the self-organizing network ensures an adaptive, flexible approach to wireless data transfer that is a significant improvement on hard-wired systems, which define most plants.
Corrater Wireless Corrosion Transmitters are quickly and easily installed without the time and expense required for wiring. Once installed computed corrosion rate and pitting tendency is read from the Gateway directly into your DCS system, an RCS ICMS3-Amulet Corrosion Management System, or a Microcor Tools software package for smaller scale systems.
