May 27, 2004 - Identified according to chuck size, CNC turning centers Models TM6, TM8, and TM10 feature ±.0002 in. position accuracy, 12-station turrets, and spindle speeds up to 6,000 rpm. Control allows machinists to program directly at machine with knowledge-based programming, convert CAD drawings into part programs by using DXF transfer software option, and download M and G programs directly from offline CAM systems.

Hurco Adds Turning Centers to Product Lineup

Lathes featuring Hurco’s popular control will be available Nov. 2004

Indianapolis — Machinists across the country have been begging for lathes with Hurco’s advanced controls. In November 2004, the industry will have what it wants – a family of Hurco CNC slant-bed turning centers starting at $39,900.

The TM Series lathes are specifically designed for job shops and contract manufacturers who need efficient processing of small to medium sized lots. Hurco has developed a series of turning centers to meet the needs of machinists seeking quality, precision and simplicity at a low cost. Hurco’s three initial lathe models will be the TM6, TM8, and the TM10 (each identified according to chuck size).

The Hurco lathes feature ±.0002 inch position accuracy, 12-station turrets and spindle speeds of up to 6,000 RPM. Tailstock, chip conveyors, tool pre-setters, part catchers, and bar feeders are productivity options available with each model.

The Hurco’s advanced control technology allows machinists to program directly at the machine with knowledge-based programming, convert CAD drawings into part programs by using Hurco’s DXF transfer software option, and download M and G programs directly from offline CAM systems.

The TM Series lathes will be officially introduced at IMTS 2004 in Hurco’s booth (A-8117) and available for sale in September 2004.
