March 13, 2008 - Steel shaft collars are machined from AISI 1018 steel and allow users to create custom components including lever arms and adjustable sprocket mounts. Collars are suitable for custom fabricating in mechanical and structural components such as brackets and supports. Available in standard 1 and 2 piece styles as well as sizes ranging from ¼ to 6 in. I.D. Optional customization can be supplied up to 16 in. I.D.

AISI 1018 Steel Collars Weldable for Creating Custom Components


A line of AISI steel shaft collars that can be welded for creating custom components such as lever arms and adjustable sprocket mounts has been introduced by Stafford Manufacturing Corp. of Wilmington, Massachusetts. Stafford Weldable Shaft Collars are machined from AISI 1018 steel and are easily welded by all of the welding process to let users create their own custom components. Standard one- and two-piece styles and sizes from 1/4" to 6" I.D. are offered and they can be supplied as specials up to 16" I.D.

Suitable for custom fabricating a wide range of mechanical and structural components, typical applications for Stafford Weldable Shaft Collars include lever arms, adjustable gear-, pulley-, and sprocket mounts, and structural components such as brackets and supports.

Stafford Weldable Shaft Collars are priced from $4.95 (list), depending upon style, size, and quantity. Samples, literature, and pricing are available upon request.
