Sundyne Announces the First Shipment of the New Low Flow Sealless Magnetic Drive Ansimag Pump

ARVADA, Colo., -- Sundyne Corp., a subsidiary of Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation, continues its commitment to being a leader in low flow pump technology with the announcement today that the new KM1516LF non-metallic sealless magnetic drive pump began shipping to distributors. Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

The new low flow pump is based on the reliable Sundyne Ansimag Model KM pump platform. With minimum flow rates down to 1 gpm (.23 m3/hr), and total differential head up to 170 feet (52 m), the KM1516LF provides an economical alternative to mechanically sealed pumps. It also features the new patent pending low flow hydraulic design and molding technology resulting in greater operating control and efficiency than previously available in magnetic drive sealless pumps. The Sundyne Ansimag KM line of sealless pumps are reliable and simple to maintain making them a cost effective alternative to mechanically sealed pumps.

"We are the pioneers and industry experts of low flow pump technology. The new KM1516LF is our next investment in continuing the Sundyne legacy of producing extremely reliable low flow centrifugal pumps for chemical manufacturing, refining, general industry and municipal water treatment," said Jeff Wiemelt, vice president and general manager, Sundyne.

All Sundyne Ansimag sealless magnetic drive process pumps are fluoropolymer lined to prevent chemical reactions and corrosion while pumping caustic fluids. Centrifugal magnetic drive technology eliminates the mechanical seals found in conventional sealed pumps providing an environmentally safe, zero leak, pumping solution that meets all EPA fugitive emissions regulations. Municipalities that specialize in water treatment will find the new KM1516LF to be a reliable low cost alternative to expensive to maintain mechanically sealed pumps. For companies that process chemicals such as caustic soda, sodium hypochlorite, hydrochloric and sulfuric acid, sealless magnetic drive fluoropolymer lined pumps are environmentally safe and leak proof.

Sundyne manufactures and distributes a family of reliable products including heavy duty ISO 13709/API 610 integrally geared low flow high head pumps; direct drive and multi-stage pumps; sealless magnetic drive pumps that meet API 685, ANSI and ISO standards; and, high-speed multi-stage integrally geared compressors that meet API-617 standards for hydrocarbon and chemical processing, power generation, water management, and general industries.
