Measuring position at distances up to 25 mm, RFC4800 Series rotary angle sensors include 2 PNP positive switched outputs and programmable switching zone. Edge width of switch function is less than or equal to 0.1°, while accuracy of switch edges is ±1°. Sensors have magnetic pickup enabling touchless measurement, IP67-sealed 4-20 mA current output, 12-bit resolution, and ±0.5% independent linearity. Units operate over temperature range of –40 to +85°C and withstand shock up to 100 G.

New Rotary Position Sensors with Programmable Switches
Southborough, MA - Novotechnik, U.S. introduces the RFC4800 Series of touchless rotary angle sensors that provide absolute, rotary position. It is available with two programmable switch outputs on the analog version.
The RFC4800 Series utilizes a magnetic pickup to provide a touchless measurement range of 0 to 360°. Other key specifications include 4 to 20 mA current output, sealed to the IP 67 standard, resolution to 12 bits, and independent linearity of ±0.5%.
Switch characteristics include two PNP positive switched outputs, width of switching zone is user programmable, data retention is a minimum of 50 years, edge width of switch function is less than or equal to 0.1° and accuracy of switch edges is ±1°.
Magnetic marker mounts to a shaft on users application up to 25 mm from sensor.
Designed to withstand shock and vibration up to 100G/20G, RFC4800 Series sensors have an operating temperature range of –40°C to +85°C.
