Piezoresistive Accelerometer has mechanical filter.

Press Release Summary:

Model 7270AM6 features mechanical filter with damped output and linear phase shift for shock measurements. Filter assembly mitigates frequency content of shock pulse to provide protection from high frequency inputs, and mechanical isolator provides same response to positive and negative accelerations. Unit is available in FS ranges of 6,000, 20,000, and 60,000 g; is usable over frequency range from DC to 10 kHz; and has temperature range of -30 to +150°F.

Piezoresistive Accelerometers Offer Mechanical Filters for High Frequency Shock Measurement

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. - October 13, 2003 - Endevco's Model 7270AM6 series of piezoresistive accelerometers feature mechanical filters for shock measurements. This filter assembly provides protection from high frequency inputs by mitigating the frequency content of a shock pulse.

The mechanical isolator is comprised of aluminum housing, with a cushioning layer of elastomer filter on either side of the accelerometer. With elastomer on both sides, the response is the same to both positive and negative accelerations. The mechanical filter features a damped output with a linear phase shift.

The Model 7270AM6 is available in full scale ranges of 6,000, 20,000 and 60,000 g. It is usable over the frequency range from DC to 10 kHz and features a temperature range of -30°F to +150°F (-34°C to +66°C).

The Endevco Model 136 Three-Channel Signal Conditioner, OASIS 2000 Computer-Controlled System or Model 4430A Bridge Signal Conditioner are recommended as signal conditioner and power supply.
